Hoggett/Baldry
« on: Saturday 07 August 04 20:22 BST (UK) »
Harriet Hoggett was born in Strood on 15 December 1860 and baptised on 26 December. Her mother was Harriet Hoggett. Harriet senior married John Haselip on 1 July 1861 and had several children. But there is no further mention of the child Harriet Hoggett. Does anyone have access to the local parish register to ascertain if an infant by that name was buried in the last days of 1860 or early1861?

Hi

Had a quick look and found it, amazing.

St Nicholas Strood
Harriet Hoggett, address Prentice St, died 30th December 1860, age 12 days.

Now, heres the fun bit, you can actually see the St Nicholas Parish records online.  If you read through the instructions on the Wootton string of messages on this board, you should find it.  When you get the blue list of documents, its number 00000232.jpg   dont forget to scroll to the right its a double page spread and you should find her.  Let me know if you have any problems.

Brilliant! Many thanks; I will go down the yellow brick road to St. Nicholas PR as you suggest. Again, thanks.
