Hi Jimmy,

I came across your posting today while researching my Great Great Grandparents:
James Philbin and Anna Murray.
I did find James and Anna's first 3 children's birth records in Selkirk Scotland (1867-1871).
Each of those birth records indicate that James Philbin and Ann Murray were married in Nov 1866 in Ballina, Ireland.
Unfortunately I cannot find a church nor a civil record of the marriage around Ballina.
I also do not know definitively the parents names nor any siblings for James and Anna, so my search has stalled for a few years.
Eventually James & Anna moved to South Shields, Durham England from around 1873-1883.
in 1883 they emigrated to Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA.

Also I found this attachment online, but then was told no record could be found??
