Smith lookup please .

Arthur Smith born 1860 in Lowestoft married Jane Hill B1863 in 1889
1901 sees them living in Battersea with children Frederick B1892 , Daisy B1894 , Twins Harry and Alfred (William) B1899 all children born in Battersea .

1911 they are in Lombard Dwellings Battersea with now Edward B1902 .

But 1911 Census says children born 7, children died 2 . Who were they and when did they die ?

Does the 1891 Census give us any clues about these children .

Have you tried searching the GRO birth indexes for possible birth registrations of the children, you can do this by putting in surname and mothers maiden surname and leave the childs christian name blank

Registrations are in Wandsworth (although I cannot see Daisy)



Added.. but her baptism is there and it gives a date of birth of 6 Feb 1894.   She is Daisy Jane.

Thanks for that everybody , got the 2 children’s names now , although the 1891 census puts the fathers age wrong and DOB wrong . And also it is Jane Hall not Hill so it clears that up as well .
