I have received from the GRO a new readable marriage cert  he was Carl Gottfried Werner Zorp 30 2nd Officer German Merchantile Marine. 66 Shepherds Hill Highgate Father Theodor Zorp Shipping engineer. Emmie Cecily Priban formerly Moenich, Spinster. 26 formerly the wife of Vaclav Priban who she obtained a divorce . Address Astoria Hotel, Greek St. Soho. Oscar Moenich deceased Iron & Steel merchant. Annie, Oscar & Iris Moenich were the witnesses. Married 24th August 1929 The Register Office in the Parish of St Martin. Does anyone know what happened to Carl and Emmie or their son ?  thank you all for you patience. Take care

Hi Heather,

I am new to this site, but hope I can help. Carl Gottfried Werner Zopf was my grandfather, and Emmie Cecily Moenich was his first wife. I have only recently started researching this, but have found some documentation that may help. I notice your message is several weeks old, so I am not sure you are still researching this!
