Think you’re right abt the boy’s mother maiden name Peak on Lancashire BMD birth sub district Culcheth. William birth Newchurch is in Culcheth so probably the one.

It must be but he was buried William Litherland 1860 St Oswald Winwick abode Culcheth age 9. What’s driving me mad is no marriage for his grandparents William & Mary. Thinking Mary is second wife named Mary keep coming up with Birchall & Ellis Litherland 1851 census is 14 servant on farm but on Image farm Labourer to George Birchall. On previous post Williams bapt was 1791 Newchurch but seems to be the only Litherland on there since the 1600s no events on there for quite a few years though & says events took place St Oswald.

William Leatherland Mary Peak 13 Jun 1819 Parochial Chapel Daresbury Cheshire.
Witness looks like Mary Gleave John Houg Luton Daresbury abt 11 miles from Culcheth.
