Sarah Ann Haydon nee Hughes

Hi all.
I am trying to find, in the 1861 and 1871 census, Sarah Ann Haydon. She was born Sarah Ann Hughes on 23 May 1826 in Islington, London and married Amos Haydon in 1844 in Luton. They both appear in the 1851 census, but I can find only Amos in the 1861 and 1871 census. She was admitted into the Bedfordshire Lunatic Asylum on 7 Sept 1871, as a pauper and died there on 5 Oct 1897. Can anybody help please.

She is discharged on 11th December 1866. She is then admitted to another hospital called Fisherton on the 11th December 1866 and discharged 7th September 1871 which would explain why she isn't on the 1861 or 1871 census.

Poor woman just moved from asylum to asylum and was institutionalized for 37 years

Forgot to add that she was discharged from Fisherton and then admitted to the Bedfordshire Lunatic Asylum on the same day - 7th September 1871.

Thanks very much Rosie and Queenie. Still trying to find out where "Fisherton" was. The reference that is on Ancestry says Scotland but I doubt that. To get to Scotland from Bedford in 1 day in the 1860s is stretching it a bit and why would they send her all that way anyway.
