Hi again, I’ve just been updated from the album owner that Gladwynn is believed to be14 Netheravin Road, Chiswick obtained from a newspaper entry regarding tge marriage of a Gladys Boyden to Herbert Fryer in 1924... the images of the house fits.. thank you so very much for your efforts.. Now we have her identity would it be possible to find details of her siblings and family.. perhaps her reasons for travelling to Singapore in 1904 and 1907 (from photos) Thanks once again for your time it is very much appreciated.. I’m not sure this mystery unraveled yet!.. I’m now looking into her father James W Boyden and her mother Rosa Watts.. who for some reason travelled to Singapore in 1904 & 1907 (from photographs) when Gladys was a child. Not sure what her fathers occupation was that may have taken them there.. still awaiting more details from the album.. thank you

Hi there, unfortunately I haven’t got access as local library shut etc.. I think I would like to see if there are anyone with surname of ‘Boyden’ on ships to Singapore (not sure if direct) in 1907 and to Belgium in 1903.. I’ve got a proper puzzle here. I’m focusing on the Boyden family at Gladwynn in 1911.
Thanks once again for all your assistance.
Regards Jayhen

It was common to take your house name with you when you moved. The Simons did live at a Gladwyn in Cromwell Avenue, Bromley. Kelly's 1913 directory has:-

Numbers 1,2,3,5,6 then:
Bromley Cottage Hospital
... here is footpath to Hayes ...
Simon Charles Victor, Gladwyn
Bodle E. W. C., Somerton
Ashton Pearson, Whitefriars
Maggs P. H., Belstone
Hale George Herbert, Tressillian

The latter houses weren't in the 1910 directory. They were still there in 1916, but as you know, gone by 1924, the next directory I have.

Without access to the full run of directories at Bromley Local Studies, I can't be certain, but following through those I have here, I think it's now No 25 or 27 in the row beginning with 21 after Cromwell Close to the end of the Avenue.
