Thanks, RJ.  I was hoping to learn the surname of his mother but back to the drawing boards.

Thanks, RJ.  I was hoping to learn the surname of his mother but back to the drawing boards.

His mother was Estella Quagelli.

Estella/Stella and Charles were married in 1920 in San Francisco.

Marriage: (see images below)

The two of them married on the Hawaii passenger list in 1921. Full DOB & POB listed.

Passenger list: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QV9Z-DPX3

They both got remarried, with Charles marrying Mary as you know.

Estella died in 1978. Her obit names her as "mother of Charles G Street".

I'll PM you the info on Estella and her husband as well as her obit naming Charles G Street as her son.

I saw the passenger list so that's how I knew her name was Estelle/Stella.  After looking at various candidates, I was leaning towards a different Stella.  Thanks for putting me straight.  Actually, I'm related to the second wife, [Mary] Genevieve Hopkins.  She seems to be the person who raised the boy from an early age and was referred to as his parent.
