Somerset Light Infantry 4th Bn. Age: 26. Service No -  5678622. Son of Robert F. Bethell and Elizabeth Bethell, of Bath.

The private memorial marling the grave of Pvt Bethell no longer provides adequate commemoration, the commission are in the process of producing a new headstone.
