Hi,

Welcome to RootsChat :)

I think this could be Ann in 1851, transcribed as PROOST at Ancestry and FindMyPast,

1851
23 Boar Lane, Leeds, Yorkshire

Ann   PROOST    Serv    U    21    Domestic Servant    Yorkshire,  York

living in the household of Jonathan W FIRBY.

Regards,
Daisy

I'm certain that this is my Ann. I've had a very close look at the original record and it appears to me to have been transcribed incorrectly - I'm quite sure it's PROVST which makes more sense to me. I've reported it to FindMyPast and see if they agree. I've still been unable to find her after this date though.

That's good news :)

I still can't see her after 1861, have you had any luck?

Daisy

Hi Daisy, no unfortunately I haven't found any more on her.

I'm sure something will turn up one day  :)
