Did a bit of tidying up with the information posted above (with a few more details) but although there is a birth registration for Joyce Burnett there's no matching death registration up until 1921 for N.I.).

That's food for thought. Mary Ann certainly kept busy!
 Could the McLean name refer to a possible father?
In those days would a child have been taken off a mother if it was felt that they were not being looked after?

Still struggling to find any other appropriate birth record for Joyce
