The death notice for the correct Rosa Elizabeth HALL was published in Sydney Morning Herald 27th June 1956

"HALL, Rosa Elizabeth. June 22 1956. Widow of Dr. G J Hall. Privately cremated"

May I share  :D

NSW Electoral Roll 1933, NORTH SYDNEY, polling at Milson’s Point. You needed to be aged 21 or over to be eligible to enrol.
George Joseph HALL, Milton Hall, Waruda Street, no occupation M (Male)
Grace Dalmahoy HALL, Verona, Waruda Street, home duties, F (female)
Grace Jean HALL, Verona, Waruda Street, nurse, F
Rosa HALL, Milton Hall, Waruda Street, home duties F

Noting that the 1932 ER for Milson’s Pt lists both Grace Dalmahoy and Grace Jean but NOT George Joseph or Rosa at an address in Waruda Street.

My late Gran was a nurse, trained in NZ prior to WWI, and Gran and Grandpa both paid ‘good money’ to sit on a rooftop in Waruda Street Kirribilli on 19 March 1932.  They caught a punt from Sydney across to Milson’s Point and walked to Waruda.  They were among the thousands who after de Groot cut the ribbon and Big Jack officially opened the bridge, they walked back to Sydney.

Interesting little tale JM ;D

I see no connection between the two  families surnamed HALL in Warunda Street.

Grace Dalmahoy HALL was the widow of Bernard HALL and was nee WYATT
The other Grace Jean was maybe her daughter.
