"The Osborns of Stoke Goldington & Newport Pagnell"

I am looking for "The Osborns of Stoke Goldington & Newport Pagnell" by F W Bull. It appears to have been published in the early 1900s.

Does anyone know anything about this publication or where I could obtain a copy, or scans/photographs of its pages.

I am trying to establish how George Osborn of Newport Pagnell, woolstapler, was related to William Osborn of Woburn, Beds.

Who was F W Bull who wrote this?

Frederick William BULL. He wrote quite a few books of history and genealogy including this History of Newport Pagnell.

Unfortunately not much about the Osborns in there, except for a few diary entries.

I was also going to suggest you contacted Don Hurst the archivist at Newport Pagnell Historical Society and see what he could tell you about Osborns and Newport.

Also try Stoke Goldington Association  http://www.mkheritage.org.uk/sga/ to see if they have the book you are wanting to see pages from as they have a good collection in their reading room.

You could also try the Local Studies Library at Milton Keynes Central Library - SG is part of MK.

The MKHA site http://www.mkheritage.org.uk is a good starting point for info about anywhere in what was North Bucks before it became Milton Keynes and the surrounding Beds, Bucks and Northants area.

There might be something to be gained from researching backwards from Arthur Gordon Hugh Osborn (1913-1991) of Olney, Bucks.
Olney is 5 miles from Newport Pagnell and even less from Stoke Goldington. Looks as if (Anc) his father was Hugh John Osborn (1890-1977) born Newport Pagnell s/o Arthur James Osborn.
Gordon Osborn was very well known and highly respected in Olney as a butcher (I did delivery rounds for him in the 60s), fireman and author. He was at one time Chairman of the Trustees at the Cowper and Newton Museum in Olney and there may be a good place to seek information https://cowperandnewtonmuseum.org.uk

Thank you for all the suggestions.

I have been in touch with Don Hurst already. I found the "book" (which was a three page pamphlet, rather than a book) in an archive in Yorkshire. Not as much information as I was hoping for, mainly gleaned from wills. F W Bull was a descendant of the Newport Pagnell Osborns.

I will get in touch with the Stoke Goldington Association and see if they know anything else about the family. It is Thomas Osborn (1704-1782) and his ancestors, and his son William (1754-1844) who went to live in Woburn Beds, I am most interested in. George Osborn in Newport Pagnell was William's brother.

The Olney Osborns lead back to a different area, and seem unrelated.
