Looking for ancestor info

Hi all

George Coley born 5/11/ 1872 in chilvers cotton and died October 1961 he married Sarah Webley in 1896.

The witness to the marriage says Fathers name was Isaac Coley, no other details known.

Getting info on Isaac and even beyond him is now beyond my skills.

Isaac would be my partners 3x great grandfather, would anyone be able to shed any further light to help usZ

Chilvers Coton is in Warwickshire, and is now part of Nuneaton.

Can't see a George Coley birth in 1872/3? in Warwickshire?

Unsure what is meant by "The witness to the marriage says Fathers name was Isaac Coley".
Witnesses only sign the register.

On the entry of marriage form, far right section says “ fathers name” Which says “Isaac Coley - Labourer

I may have got his year of
Birth wrong , try 1869, my partner has just left for her night shift so I can’t get clarification quickly , sorry

The George born Chilvers Coton/Stockingford area c1867 marries a Sarah Jane Goodwin and is son  of John

The Sarah Webley marriage is in Herefordshire and a bit out of the way for a Warwickshire

There is a George Coley of similar age with father Isaac - born Ireland in early censuses but living in Kent. Says born Kent later

Thanks for that. George and Sarah’s children are then born in Ledbury from the research so it’s still possible it’s the correct one, Lily Coley one of George’s daughters ends up in Burghill Asylum near Ledbury due to mental health and dies there, Lily gave birth to Reggie coley when she was 15 ( Reggie is my partners grandfather)

Also, Reggie was bought up by “Sarah” who he believed was his mom, but was actually his nan.

My partners dad remembers going to Ledbury with his dad (Reggie) to see Sarah when he was young, he said she was quite a scary strict woman.

It’s only from the research that we discovered Reggies mom was Lily who suffered greatly with mental health after giving birth to Reggie when she was 15

Would you have the marriage book reference number for Godwin should it end up being that one? It would be good to obtain a copy of the marriage cert once confirmed
