Francis NEGUS and Mary ELDERKIN-Warmington

Seeking information on the ancestors of Francis NEGUS (d.1794) and Mary ELDERKIN (d.1781) md.October 5,1746 Warmington,Northamptonshire. The couple had four (confirmed) children:

i.Anne(bapt.1748-)
ii.William(bapt.1749/1750-);md.1781 Mary Broughton
iii.John(bapt.1753-);md.October 14,1783 (Polebrook) Dorothy Wright
iv.Francis(bapt.1756-)

It had been suggested to me on Ancestry that Francis could be s/o Gilbert NEGUS and Ann WARD but I have not yet seen evidence of this. Although Ann's name has appeared in future generations,I have not seen any sign of Gilbert's. I also have not seen evidence of Anne or Francis having married or producing children to correlate that claim.

Thanks for the replies,all. At this point in time I have to conclude that Gilbert and Ann are Francis's parents. And based on the dates,mostly likely Gilbert is the s/o Gilbert and Sarah. I will be looking to see if Gilbert and Sarah had other children before I determine that.-Sarah
