I thought too there was a gap in  Margaret Ann's birth I thought I had the birth but sorry it was the marriage in 1890 and it states she is 22 so I deducted that for her birth

I have looked for a birth but not found any yet

Bingo I have got the death of John Sutherland  this morning
5th Aug 1886 at Portahmact aged 66 father Colin Sutherland ( I have a few John Colin's and a Colin Sutherland's ) and mother Janet McIntosh  Jane signs with a x widow

Found the marriage of Colin and Janet two dates shown on familysearch
one 21.1.1810 the other 21.2.1810
In S/P 1841 census they are living at Gartymore
Colin head of house aged 56
Janet wife aged 45
John Son 20
George Son 18
Gordon Son 16
Jean Daughter 14

In 1841census  Janet is 45 that makes her born 1796
she is married in 1810 so that only makes her 14 on her wedding day

In the 1841 census adults' ages were supposed to be rounded down to the nearest 5 years. So someone who is recorded as 45 could be any age from 45 to 49. The census was taken on 7 June 1841, so a person recorded as 45 could have been born as early as 8 June 1791 or as late as 7 June 1796.

If she was born in 1791 she would have been 19 at the beginning of 1810.

Or she might have got her age wrong, or the person who supplied the information might have got it wrong.

The law allowed a girl to marry at age 14, so it's not impossible, though in practice it didn't happen.

There is a marriage on 7 Dec 1860 in Kildonan for a Colin sutherland and a Jane Gunn. I can't see a death for a Janet McIntosh/Sutherland post 1855.
