Help with transcribing WW1 record

Would appreciate help with reason for death on the attached which relates to Gunner 180814 Arthur Frederick Tarry, ‘B’ Instructional Bty., RFA.  It says something about an absess ?lips?

Abscess of the lip + paralysis ?: on AS (presumably Active Service).

Thanks ShaunJ.  I thought it looks like "lips" but that seems a strange thing to die from especially as it also says paralysis.

If the abscess spread to the parotid gland that could lead to paralysis and death.

"In the pre-antibiotic era, parotid abscesses were known for poor outcomes with a high mortality"
