Rena I thought you had found the information somewhere else so just confirmed it from Scotland’s people  ;D. I see OP now has the certificate so it is the right one, we’ll done  :)

Initially I checked for an Edinburgh burial.  Then I checked with www.genuki reference the "St Giles" query, which I thought might be a parish in Edinburgh and found I was right..

 I went back to scotlandspeople where I prepared to search with any of the options ( e.g. wildcard, or "sounds like", etc) that scotlandspeople offer.  I searched for "J Hutton" and as already stated, up popped St. Giles, which is in Edinburgh.
