I know that Sinclair's son John Shegog was my great-grandfather. I'm afraid I don't know as much about that side of my family. I'm fairly certain that they had 3 children, Charlotte, John and Pearl (I think her name was changed to Pearl when she was young).
John Sandilands born 1912-

Charlotte Elizabeth born 1914-

Margaretta born 1918- (Pearl is a nickname for Margaret/Margaretta)

Hello GarethinWA
Thanks so much for reaching out - it definitely sounds like we have a connection here. Similar to yourself, I've had very little information passed down through the generations on this side of the family. My grandfather was quite young when his mother (Margaretta Woods Shegog) died so he knew very little about her. I would be keen to share what details I have gathered with you.
Julie

Thanks aghadowey for the links to the birth certificates. I also didn't know Pearl was a nickname for Margaret/Margaretta so that is super helpful information!

This message is for Gareth. I tried to send him a private message, but his inbox is full. I am a Johnston descendant living in British Columbia Canada and I have been in touch with your dad, indirectly, in Ireland regarding his DNA. We are related as per DNA.

GarethinWA has only one post so he will have to make at least one more post to receive your personal message and reply.

Hello Denis, I can see that you have been trying to send me a message, but there is no message there when I try to pick up the message. I did send you my regular email address if you want to use that. Peggy
