Sandra, you are amazing. I wrote a lengthy reply which disappeared but just as well. Looks like Margaret White was first married to William McKettrick and they had Kathleen and Regus who is the same person as Rita. But Regus is only one in the 1910 census so I guess that’s a mistake for age. Or the dob on Rita’s death certificate is wrong which is more likely if Margaret had only been married 2 years. Sometime between 1910 and 1923 Margaret married William Smith. Need to look at the 1920 census.
I found it interesting that Margaret Tice was nee Sarah Margaret Workman. Wonder who her parents were and will look for that. Lily E. Averell’s mother was Elizabeth Workman. I have still to find Lily on a census before her marriage to james B. White or after her marriage for that matter. Lizzie Averill who married Benjamin Watterson had mother Margaret Workman  married to Isaac Averell in Ireland.

Wow, I think you have solved the mystery of the McG*** name on the 1910 census, RJ137. There is a family connection but not Margaret’s surname. Rita was living at same address as William Smith in 1923. So maybe Joseph White’s wife was a McGettrick.
Thanks very much for the death certificates for Catherine Hennessy and Margaret Smith.

Found some info on family search which might help you. Margaret or Sarah Margaret Workman/Wortman was married to Howard Tice.  Could be the surname was Wortman but changed to Workman over time.

that is fantastic, Sandra. Definitely William and Margaret nee White on the 1900 census. And next door is Margaret's sister Katherine married to William Cotter, with her 3 children which I didn't know the names of before.
