Oh Roobarb, it's so hard to believe after all you've done to protect yourself this past year.

Only thing I can see that was out of the ordinary for you was you said you'd hugged a friend last week for the first time!   Could it be anything to do with that?

Well - to say I am floored is no exaggeration, Roobarb, I can’t really believe it !
I feel sure your two vaccinations will limit the effects, but it is a  shock that you got it at all.
I wish you a speedy recovery and no after effects.
Multi Vitamins Roobarb, In correct dosage no harm but lots of benefits.

I don’t know what to say, truly.
Well, thank goodness for the diaries!

My son has been sort of discharged re heart problems ,but what is wrong remains a mystery ,perhaps the spinal curvature old problem when looked into will throw up some answers.

Scorching day tiday watched the Rugby,St,Helens vCastleford .On T.V.
A good clean game in blazing sunshine .

Well, I need a strong cup of tea after that news !
Keep your chin up Roobarb and every good wish to you ,I know I am not alone in that.
Cheerio everyone.
Viktoria.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments and good wishes, it means a lot to me.

Annette, I did think about the possibility of having caught it from the friend you mention but have discounted that for a number of reasons. I'm pretty sure I know who I caught it from, someone whose company I was in more recently and who has also been ill with it (after I met with them). Unfortunately it seems that the vast majority of new cases are the Delta variant which seems to spread much more quickly. The cases in this area and in the country as a whole have shot up.

Pinetree, I don't think the government would dare do an about turn because of Sajid Javid catching it, I think the criticism would be enormous.

I’m totally gobsmacked Roobarb… you of all people who’ve been so careful too, so sorry my dear friend… just take it easy and look after yourself as I know you will.. it just goes to show one can’t be too careful…

I hope everyone else who has been having issues of sorts will keep their spirits up too..this is no time for slacking… I’ve no idea what the government think they’re doing but it doesn’t make much sense to me…

My OH is still battling with this virus after FOUR WERKS now and one day I think he’s improving and the next not… so many tests and no nearer knowing …. Just have to ride it out but he’s finding it hard …..

Take care everyone and look after yourselves and your families…..it’s been a rubbish week for us but hoping the next one will see improvements….

Roobarb; Such a shock to read you have tested positive. Hoping it is only a mild dose and you are back on your feet soon. All the best for a speedy recovery.

A headline from one of our papers online (no link as the article will disappear as new news takes its place)
"Delta is rewriting the Covid rules in Australia as Melbourne outbreak grows."

To everyone else in the UK please take care as your day of freedom draws near.
To those in Australia stay safe.
Stay safe Stay Strong

Thank you ladies, I'm feeling pretty dreadful at the moment, can only hope that soon improves. I dread to think what I'd have been like if I hadn’t been vaccinated.

I'm sorry your OH is still suffering Caroline, it must have been awful for him and worrying for you.  I hope he's soon out of the woods.
