Thomas Abram/Abraham in Warton near Kirkham
« on: Thursday 15 July 21 07:03 BST (UK) »
Hi - I have a problem that doesn't add up
Cecily Abram b1726 - parents Thomas Abram b1697 married Ann Hudson b1688 in 1709, his parents Richard Abram b1670 and Jennet Salthouse 1677 married in 1696

As you can see Thomas was 12 when married !! Ann 21

The Lancs OPC shows various on Thomas and family including a death for Thomas in 1697
Can only use familysearch at present

Thomas Abram and Ann Hudson's children:

Ann bap 16 Mar 1711/2 (Warton)
James bap 7 Feb 1713/4 (Newton)
Richard bap 7 Oct 1716 - bur 22 Oct 1716 (Newton)
Richard unknown - bur 8 Feb 1717/8
William unknown - bur 15 Jun 1722
Cicely bap 25 Dec 1726 (Warton) twin
Richard unknown - bur 16 Apr 1728 (twin of Cicely?)

Based on their children's names, I think this is the baptism of Thomas Abram:
St Michael Kirkham 15 Feb 1679/80 son of James and Ann of Newton? at Kirkham (under Abraham)

And Ann Hudson:
St Michael Kirkham 25 Mar 1687 daughter of Richard and Cicely of Newton

Ann's burial:
8 Nov 1727 St Paul Warton, wife of Thomas Abram of Warton

All from lan-opc

Bolingbroke (Norfolk & Suffolk) Chittleburgh (Yorkshire & Norfolk) Dawson (Essex & Hertfordshire) Donkin (Newcastle & Durham) Gregg (Lancashire & Cumbria) Johnson (Lancashire) Spalding (Norfolk) Stannard - (Essex & Norfolk)

mmmm
from what has been said the favourite parents of Thomas are James and Ann of Newton, this would make Thomas 29 when he married that does make more sense but that would mean all the ancestors of Thomas would have to be deleted thats about 4 generations
Newton with Scales is very close to Kirkham which is the main area for the Lee family which is linked to the Abram/Abraham families

Is there any other confirmations that I can consider before I deleted som 20 people

Even younger if the Thomas that you have did die and they named another Thomas whose baptism I listed as 6 July 1701

Possible burial 5th Nov. 1697 son of Richard.
There was also a Richard & Margaret who were having children baptised around same time as Richard & Jennet, including a Thomas 1699.

There was a burial 5th Aug. 1681 of a Thomas, son of James, abode W.
Have you looked for wills?
