Have you tried the GRO link again?, it's working for me. Or just  Google GRO. Choose order certificates online and then you can register/sign in. It is so useful , especially for eliminating possible deaths. Hope it works.

Can't see William COX on GRO INDEX and Daniel is pre Sept 1837

Thanks again, I think I have finally sorted out the GRO.   Previously I've been using FreeBMD, for whom I used to transcribe, so I was unaware of advances in GRO.   I can't find William Cox either.
