Time costs money and services have to be paid for, either by ourselves or the tax payer, the latter is already overburdened with claims for essential services.

Family History is not a cheap hobby, we are lucky that so much is now available online, so it can be frustrating when one is unable to access some records with ease. Unfortunately,  there are times when one has to travel a long distance, or bite the bullet and pay up for someone to research for us.

I am grateful that although now housebound I can still do so much research from home.  :D

Jebber - I agree with what you say. But I needed to vent my frustration. As you say, Family History is not cheap. I agree. In fact after 40 years I am putting all my research away. I am now at the point where there is nothing new to find or justifies spending further money on.

best wishes
