Robert Bell apprentice fees 1813
« on: Wednesday 28 July 21 21:22 BST (UK) »
I have a record for apprentice fees paid on 10th August 1813 by Robert Bell to John Batson.  Where can I find out more on which apprenticeship this pertained to.  I understand it was in the Newcastle area.

Isn't there  a citation for the record to say where and what it was?

Wherever you got the record surely must say where the info came from?

Possibility from Newcastle Guild of Joiners admissions or Newcastle Guild of Housecarpenters.  Possibly from Tyne & Wear Archives?

But definitely around the Newcastle area.

I'm going to try and find John Batson in 1841 census.

I meant where did 'you' get this record?

Was it from one of the genealogy sites (paid or free)?
have you seen this in someone's tree and got the record from there?
Was it perhaps in family documents?

If you can tell us that we may have a chance of sussing out who holds the record and what record set its from.

I paid for some research back in 2017.   I just found the page again and it is not clear to me.  But she would probably have gone to the T&W archives.

If you still have the contact details for the researcher email and ask. To be honest, if I was paying for research and just got a document without any info about what and where it was I'd be peeved to say the least.

Is there any sort of heading on the document? any reference written on it?

Thanks Boo.  I have written to her email (hasn't bounced back) so email might be the same.  Hoping for reply.
