Thank you everyone, did you happen to come across a birth for James?
I found one Edwin Bill who was buried in 1850 aged 23, I assume it’s the wrong one, apart from the age being wrong, James Bills was born in abt 1855…

Thank you for all of your ideas, at least now I only need to get James’s birth certificate, I just need to pick the right one :)

Hello!

I’ve just received the birth certificate for James Bills, his mother is listed as Phebe Bills formerly Williams but the father is missing. At least Phebe is confirmed as his mother. Thanks again for all your help
