Hey Carol,

I ve just seen in ancestry you ve got the Aschenbrenner family and their ancestors already. So you are only interested in Stefans' past, I guess.

Thanks Justin
I have added that information to his history.  The family is now wondering how he met and married his wife Ursula Bukhus who was born and lived in Darss in Germany. At the end of the war after he was released by the Americans, Stefan went back to get his wife and his first child who was born in Feb 1945. Sometime during the war they must have met up and got together. Neither of them ever told the family anything about their life before they came to Australia in 1957.

To Palomino
yes after gaining information about where Stefan was born from Roots Chat, I was able to trace his ancestry. However the family no absolutely nothing about his life before coming to Australia in 1957, nor about his wife either

Yes I've found Born, the family know this place, but they can't find anything about her family, and wonder how she met Stefan, obviously sometime during the war.. Thanks for all your help anyway, though.

As you ve got Ursulas date and place of birth and her maiden name you could order a birth certificate at the registry office.
