She died in hospital and was buried in Chipping Sodbury. We’ve had that confirmed by the church.

So why I wonder was she buried 12 miles away from where she died.

Do I take it that the headstone that was removed was hers?  Or did it have another name on it?

I am trying to find the person who officiated at my aunts funeral in 2016. A search with Google has resulted in a letter that was published in the Church Times in 2011.

How did you find the 2011 letter - what relevance does it have to your aunt’s funeral?

Do you know what her home address was at the time she died? If so might there be some neighbours still living in the area who may know something?

Have you obtained her death certificate? That would have the name and address of the informant, provided it was not the solicitor, they should be able to provide details of the funeral and the name of the officiating Cleric.

If the estate as small there would have been no need for the Will to go to probate.

Yes I do - the informant was the solicitor.

I do know where she was living - there were some neighbours but they have moved away and cannot trace them.
