GRO help please
« on: Friday 06 August 21 13:56 BST (UK) »
I think this is a simple question which I need help with please.

I seem to think I have read on RootsChat that people have ordered a digital copy of a certificate which was cheaper and quicker to obtain. Is this correct ?

I have just ordered a death certificate and there didn't seem to be an option for a digital copy.

Most of my research has been on Scotlandspeople.

Thanks

Hi

Was the certificate for after 1957 as the PDFs are only available for:

PDF's for historical digitised civil registration records held by GRO (birth entries from 1837 to 1920 and death entries from 1837 to 1957)

This is a PDF and I obtained today.  Are you saying the one you wanted wasn't available for download?

I have turned off all email notifications, thank you.

Thanks for your reply Don.
Yes, the reason being I was looking for an English death certificate not Scottish I have had to buy it to get the information.
It seems PDFs are not available for English death certificates after 1957, I was looking for 1969.
