I am shocked and so so sad to hear this dreadful news about our dear friend MaxD. He was much loved and respected here on rootschat, and we will miss him tremendously.

Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness in letting us know Zoe and condolences to you and your family.

(Welling up here, and I almost never do that).  :'(

He will be so missed. His knowledge on military was wonderful and he helped so many with understanding what their ancestors did in the military.

Condolences Zoe to you and all his family and friends.

RIP Max
