Tend to agree......Finnan spoken with a Kilkenny accent.

The OP doesn't say where the list is from  ???

The record is from "New South Wales, Australia - Assisted Immigrant Passenger Lists 1828-1896" (on Ancestry).
So good chance the list was written "as spoken".
