Is there any hope for this poor photo?
« on: Wednesday 31 August 05 01:08 BST (UK) »
I have this lovely photo of my mum and nan, which was taken for my grandad to carry during the war.

Unfortunately, over the years and being in his wallet so much it has become damaged.

Is there anyone who can do their magic on this one?

Any improvement would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Chui

Hi Chui

Not had much time to work on this (requires more doing on the ladies face) but I am sure a better version will come along soon

Hi

This one was so difficult. If anyone can do a brilliant job please say how you have done it. I've really struggled for 2 hours and am still not pleased.

I'm sure if Kizmiaz finds this one he'll do a great job on it.

This is what he did for me - check out the first picture I posted and the last two Kizmiaz posted.

Thanks for the compliment. (Not too sure if this will live up to the great build-up though)

This is a really tricky one to get even a half decent result, since the two most important features, the mouth and the nose, are practically destroyed. A LOT of guesswork was involved, but this is what I've managed to come up with so far. Still very rough, but the texture is proving to be a bit of a nightmare.

Wow! You've done a great job with it so far :D and the guess work for the nose and mouth is not that far off!
