Can not log on to my printer

Hi, can anyone help. My printer is HP Deskjet 2540 series. Today I wanted to use printer but it will not load. Pc just configured ?? could this have caused problem. Any help appreciated.

I suggeest you go into your control panel and find "Devices and Printers".  See if your printer is listed and if not, add it.  If the printer is listed you want to make sure that it is the default printing device.

Thank You. Tried that, discovered printer in name of previous user of pc. email address also. Will have to find way of removing.

I had a similar problem years ago and when I checked Printer  in Devices I discovered the upgrade had changed the printer from ONLINE to OFFLINE.  So I suggest you look to see if your Printer is correctly ONLINE and if not change it.
