Next schedule after the Harmers in 1911 is a Morris family. No L though.
Doubt there is any connection. Probably living over the road, opposite, they were at the same address in 1901.
Common name, Morris!

Do we know what happened to John Harmer? :-\

It's possible that Eliza could have gone by "Lizzie." But that wouldn't be her husband's name then.

I'm trying to search the Rugby Poor Law Sessions, but when I go to Ancestry in Warwickshire it doesn't list Rugby as on of the divisions.  What division would it be under?

*head getting fuzzy*

It would be under Rugby.
Perhaps most of the records on there are from earlier times. But I can't see much reference anywhere to any substantial records of Rugby workhouse and the Rugby Board of Guardians. The minute books should survive.
It's very hit and miss with that kind of thing.

Update:

It's been confirmed through DNA matches that Florence May Wolfe is the birth name of Madge Morris Young.  She was the illegitimate daughter of Ada Elizabeth Short Wolfe.

Sadly, no closer to solving the potential father and the mystery surrounding Madge's adoption in 1906. :-\

I have a new theory for how Madge got the surname Morris.

Is it likely that she was adopted at birth and then readopted in 1906 if one or both of her parents died?  I can't find a DNA link to any Morris family that was part of the Suffragette movement or with the Railways.   ??? ???
