Miles (Myles) Sweeney and family Ireland Lancashire and USA

Good morning
I wonder if you friends can do your magic and sort out a muddle I have (according to other trees)   I have
MILES SWEENEY  b 1815 Ireland (son of Patrick Sweeney b 1784 Ireland but died in USA)
I have Miles married to Anne Gorman (I think b 1815 Plymouth – lived in Bolton Lancashire) with Miles and had children
Probably
Charles 1834; Mar 1837;  Michael 1839; Miles 1846 (and possibly others)
The other trees are variously telling me that my Anne Gorman was born later and started having children when she was 11 years old so I have ignored their information and need to confirm my tree and add where I missed stuff.
I also have (and all other trees have) a problem with the maiden name of the wife of the Father Patrick Sweeney  we all have her as Anne Nee from Ireland
The other children I have of Patrick and this Anne are
Patrick 1818; Ann (Nancy) 1819 and Charles 1820  all in Ireland

This looks quite muddled. I can’t see any trees which have relevance either, so it is difficult to extract any information.
It is best to start with what you know rather than rely on people’s trees.

There is this record, for example.
1871 3860 /62/14
Dragon Lane, Whiston, Lancashire
Miles Sweeney 57 yrs   Head Ag Lab b Ireland
Anne Sweeney 54 Wife b Plymouth, Devon

As you can see, this is not Bolton. It is in Prescot district.

There is a death in 1877, Prescot for Miles Sweeney, 60 yrs.
Who died in USA - your Miles or father Patrick?

1881 3728/128/39
Ann Sweeney, 51 yrs b Plymouth is living in Prescot.
Ages are often wrong so I wouldn’t bother too much at the moment re that.

There is a death in 1885 for Ann Sweeney, 56 yrs which would fit with the 1881 information so you would have to check.

Children’s baptisms on that site, including Miles in 1846.
A child Mary Anne b 1844 has Godparents ‘Mils’ Sweeney and Bridget Kennedy

There is this family - although no relationships shown as it is 1841.
They are in Wigan however.

Lancashire BMD shows Michael Sweeney b 1839, Wigan with mother Carbine.
There are others born later to the same mother.

The family is attached to my Grandmother who was Agnes Josephine Smyth (Dublin)  she moved to Lancashire married a Brown and had children from him before moving to London divorcing him and marrying my grandfather.   Her mother was Margaret Cox 1835 Wigan m Edward Smyth in 1853 Bolton and moved back to Dublin where her 11 children were borne  mostly in Lower Exchange Street Dublin and christened at the local Catholic church (which is now a Theatre
I have Margaret Cox's  sister Anne married to Charles Sweeney in 1843 Bolton  They had 10 children Miles being one of them
Margaret Miles Rosanna Mary John Sarah Charles 2nf Mary Daniel and 2nd Rosanna
I have Miles Sweeney married to Amelia Parkingson in 1976 Bolton and they had at least one daughter Edith Parkinson Sweeney

I have Patrick Sweeney 1874  father to Charles Sweeney 1820  father to Miles James Sweeney 1846

I have only skimmed this but where is the connection to your original query re Miles Sweeney and Ann Gorman?
Where do you have them in censuses?

1843 marriage
Charles Sweeney (father Patrick) and Anne Cox (father Daniel)
1853 marriage
Edward Smyth and Margaret Cox (father Daniel).

The 1841 census I gave you, has Charles Sweeney and Miles Sweeney in the same household.
That Charles might be your Charles and Miles might be married to Bridget Carabine (variations in spellings).

Not sure if this is what you want, as you seem to have no connection to the Sweeneys, other than through the marriage of Margaret Cox’ sister.
