Can anyone restore William fowlie simpson Carr who died in burma

Hi folks wonder if anyone can improve this one , it’s a lovely photo as he is smiling this was part of a Christmas new year photo card sent home to Peterhead Scotland


He sadly died as a prisoner of war around 1943

had to revert to my windows 10 notebook to use paint.net to adjust the black and white levels,  cheers, Ian
