Old Walls, Upton-Upon-Severn

Hi all

I’m hoping someone here can maybe help.

My great grandparents used to live in Old Walls in Upton-Upon-Severn in Worcestershire. Their names where Catherine Ross (formerly Loughlin/Frawley) born 1913 and died in 2001 and Alfred Rowton Ross born 1909 and died in 1994. Catherine was a short hand typist and Alfred was in the RAF and went to India for WW2. They had a daughter, born 1944 called  GS. They lived at old Walls between 1945-1960.

I have attached a picture of old Walls and also my relatives.

I was wondering if anybody knew them or knew any of the history of Old Walls?

If the daughter you mention is still alive you need to remove her name from your post.  Rootschat has a strict "no living persons"  policy to protect peoples privacy

The marriage was 1947 but you say their daughter was born 1944

Are you sure you have your dates correct? There is a death notice in 1956:

"NELSON - On Oct. 17, EDITH SEDDON NELSON, Old Walls, Upton-on-Severn, widow of Col. J O Nelson OBE., The Worcestershire Regt., and daughter of the late Thomas Seddon Smith, Solicitor, City of Liverpool. No flowers."

Terence Frawley born 2 February 1912  short hand typist.

Marriage is 1947 to Alfred Ross

The daughter was born 1945 registered at Buckrose

Alfred R Ross married 1st Eva Jane Sunley 1938 registered at Buckrose.

She is on the 1939 register as Eva J Ross born 7 September 1909 age 30 married. Going back to her maiden name she died 1985.

A tree on ancestry has a picture of Terence Frawley in his Air Force Uniform.
