Looking for help trying to find Dorothy J
She was born in 1904 adopted and lived with  Josephine and Alfred Jalland in 1911 she’s recorded with them but with the surname Wagstaff,  Josephine must have changed her name to match her dead daughter born about 1884 to a bigamist husband James Wagstaff.
Dorothy J then Marries  Albury Allen Constant( his living in  Brighton and a widower )  in 1937 in Sussex but she’s calling herself Jalland
In 1939 DorothyJ and Albury are together in Sussex
Aubury dies 1967 Brighton I can’t find no trace of Dorothy J death unless she married again.
Any help would be appreciated

What is her full birthdate from the 1939 register?

How do you know she was still alive at the time Aubrey died in 1967?  Birth, Marriage & Death reg all show him as Aubrey - not Albury. 

Who reported Aubrey's death?

If it wasn't Dorothy - Is he shown as a widower on the death cert?

According to this Old Bailey 1907 entry, it appears mother Josephine was the bigamist ??

Sexual Offences: Bigamy

WAGSTAFF, Dorothy Josephine , pleaded guilty to feloniously marrying James Poole Wagstaff, her husband being then alive.

Mr. Heddon prosecuted. Mr. Avory, K.C., and Mr. Somere James appeared for the prisoner.

Sentence, Three days' imprisonment.

According to the 1893 Marriage Bonds and Allegations record, Dorothy Josephine Jalland is a "widow".

It appears the mother returned to her first husband, Alfred Gibson Jalland, by the 1911 census.

I can't see the 1939 entry you mention.  Are they mistranscribed?

No birth for her under Wagstaff.  Wonder if she died as Dorothy Josephine Allen born 27.9.05 March qtr 1974 Brighton 5h 589
