Margaret Penning

Marguerite PENNING was born in 1872 in Walworth to Edward Daniel and Frances Penning. By 1881, the family were living at Park Road, Croydon.

I then lose them until 1903, when Margaret Penning (32) married the considerably older D'Arcy Barnes (43 on the cert but actually 61) at Lambeth RO. Despite his age, they went on to have five children!

Anyway, I would like to locate Marguerite or Margaret in the 1891 and 1901 censuses. I am having no luck with this search and would appreciate some help.

  Are you sure they didn't all get beamed up in a spaceship? I have only found Algernon under the name Pennington as a footman in 1901. (Household of the Dean of Westminster.) He is in Shropshire in 1911, as Penning.

Found Edward Rice as a lodger in 1911

His wife, Mabel May, daughters, Florry B & 1 year old Ivy May are lodging in Wood Green, 1911

Added: He married Mabel Beckford, 1895, Hackney.

They are on 1901 census in Leyton, Essex, with daughters, Florry Beatrice & Maria Grainger (adopted)

Beatrice Mary E. H. married 1901, Lambeth

Gertude Hargreaves died 1891, Lambeth

They just seem to disappear for 20 years. And with some of their rather uncommon names, you would think it would be easy.
