Seems he must have been very well schooled while in the Cape.  Very sad the other siblings died young and so without issue.  Tks for everything.

Death certificate for Richard hasn't helped very much; but pleased I have it.  Died 6th Aug. 1881 at 15 Milton Street, 75 yrs; Tutor; Syncope Heart Disease many years and Bronchitis for 3 weeks. Charles Kerr present at death. Looked for a possible connection, and funny enough found that Charles married a Caroline Bell in 1850.

Anne Bell - 2nd child of Richad Bell and Anne Collins - obituary USA

I have just come across an Obituary for an Ann Bell in the US Newspapers (from Ancestry).  I cannot access this notice.  Just wondering if anyone else can access The Waterloo Press obituary notices?  Cannot find a date pertaining to death,  but it is worthwhile for me to access if I can. Tks.
