John Sheehy & Mary Sullivan Marriage

Hi, Interesting post.
In the 1901 census, Eliza Sullivan was a widow.
Her maiden name (checking on the births of the children listed) was Swallow.
When she married Cornelius Sullivan her father is David Swallow and a pensioner.

David Swallow's death is in 1891 in Crinkle.
When she married John Sheehy she used her father in laws name as her father had passed.
Also she was born in England.
She had two daughters with John Sheehy.
There is a death of Mary in 1940 aged 51, wrong age if this is Eliza, but her husband is John and a Soldier.
The address is Crinkle
Cannot find his death.

I think it says John Swallow, pensioner as the father of Elizabeth.

Is it not Eliza Sullivan’s daughter, Mary,  who married John Sheehy?

I am trying to locate John Sheehy in the 1911 Census/1901 Census, birth record and or military records. Can anyone assist in locating information about him.

If John Sheehy had joined the army by 1901 then he was probably abroad. Both Leinster Regiment battalions served in the Anglo-Boer War. 1st Battalion was in S. Africa from 1900. 2nd Battalion arrived in South Africa from the West Indies in January 1902.

Mary's age is 31 on index. I've submitted a correction. She was Mary Elizabeth. Mary's husband, John, was informant of her death. It doesn't say he was a soldier. Mary's occupation was housekeeper.
Does OP already have a death for John with his age?
Amended to add more information from death registration.

It is likely that we have John in 1901/11 censuses (or account for him in 1901) so now it is just that oddity with his father’s name and his birth.
