Would like your opinion please
« on: Friday 08 October 21 06:45 BST (UK) »
William Joseph Joy 1865-1935 born in Bitton Gloucestershire married to Clara Packer 1863-1932 in 1885,

According to the 1911 census they had 3 children all alive
Minnetta May Joy born 1886 in Bitton
Janette Gertrude Joy born 1887 Oldland

The only other child I can find on the GPO site is
Florence Nellie Joy born 1892 in Lambeth London.  She is not living with the family in any of the census, but there is a marriage in 1923 in Oldland between a Henry Napier Hicks and Florence Joy, bride's father William Joy.

In 1901 there is a Florence F Joy living with a William and Naomi Hiler in Oldland she is described as a niece.

I know that obtaining a birth certificate would answer my query but as this family is very distance I would like to look at other ways first

Am I going down a wrong line?

Any advice would be appreciated

In the 1911 census William Joseph Joy is an Engineer working in Electrical Engineering.
In the marriage cert you posted he is an Electrician.

Would say they are the same person.
