Frederick Houghton

We have a Frederick Houghton b c1880 in Stepney. He is the son of Henry Houghton and Ann Smith. On the 1901 census he is living with his parents and his brother Thomas in Maroon Street in Limehouse. Frederick was a railway carman. There is a burial for a Frederick at the City of London and Tower Hamlets Cemetery in 1917. He died at Channel View, Lansing not sure if its him or not and given the timing we initially thought he may have been military but we are just not sure. Any help on this will be much appreciated thank you in advance

Storks Nest was leased in 1901 by William Chorley. William renamed it Channel view and it became one of his homes of rest. William had conceived the idea of a T B hospital in Lancing and took over a couple of properties.

That really interesting and they were sent to the coast to recuperate so that fits in well thank you
