Ok so it probably is Beber the?

It’s so confusing- there appears to be secrets and lies rather than truths and openness. Goodness knows the truth of it

The  inscription confirms that his Hebrew/Yiddish was Gutman ben (son of) Yitschak.

Yitschak is the Hebrew form of Isaac.

Suggestion: I know this means spending money, but consider getting the GRO birth cert for the first child born in London (not Poland). Sorry, I forgot which child that is.
Obviously this birth cert would indicate an address for the family (shortly after their move to England). Perhaps the family were temporarily staying with a relative? If so, trace the address to a person using the 1881 census. He/she might provide a clue as to the Isaacs' hometown in Poland.

Good idea but not sure if it’s Solomon or another child as the place of birth keeps changing from Poland to England.

I also ought to mention that on Arthur’s marriage certificate in 1914/15 one witness was supposedly his father Gerald. How can this be true if his father was Goodman and dead by 1909?
If he and my grandmother lied would it make the marriage null and void?
Can’t Gina Gerald or death certificate for any Gerald Isaacs

The GRO index will indicate the earliest children born in England. If memory serves, it was a daughter? Have you used the online GRO index before?

I do think getting that birth cert will assist with your research. It's only a few quid. Or as I like to think: the price of two lattes at Starbucks.

Depending on how much you want to drill-down on your family's Polish roots, here is another Family Search link for tracing Jewish ancestors: https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Jewish_Search_Strategies

From the online GRO index:

ISAACS, ANNIE       MMN: BEBER
GRO Reference: 1884  S Quarter in WHITECHAPEL  Volume 01C  Page 292

But I can't remember if Annie is the first child born in England.

Here's Rebecca's birth registration, but she was born after Annie:

ISAACS, REBECCA       MMN: BEBER
GRO Reference: 1887  M Quarter in WHITECHAPEL  Volume 01C  Page 328

Another place to look for information about the family could be school records these may list previous school with enlistment date giving an indication of arrival .you might get first address for the family and also variation of names used .

There are a handful of school records for the Isaacs children on Ancestry, but they appear to date from the early 1890s, and don't include previous addresses, etc.
