My Grandfather
« on: Thursday 14 October 21 18:45 BST (UK) »
Hi
I'm wondering if anyone can give me any information on where this may have been. The man with the bike was my Grandfather Henry Frederick Eady he was born 12 May 1890 in Rotherhithe. In 1911 he was living in Southwark and when he married his address was Thetford he was an AA motorcyclist. 1914 he was in Mountnessing Essex. 1916 in Camberwell then 1920 Twickenham 1923 Bedfordshire where he died in 1965.
All I have been told is that the man with the bike was my Grandfather.
Any help would be much appreciated

Could this be WW1 so either in Mountnessing or Camberwell (although it looks too rural for Camberwell.) You say he was an AA Motorcyclist and a regiment was formed  the 8th (cyclist) Battalion of the Essex Regiment and many AA patrolmen were enlisted into it. Perhaps if you post this photo on the WW1 section of the Armed Forces board, somebody on there may be able to help you.
