Hi looking for the death of Michael Ellis, born in Shropshire but living in Dudley parish in 1871, not on the 1881 census so died 1870s, his wife Elizabeth died 1875. Thanks in advance

When was Michael born and where in Shropshire.

As you have found him in 1871 please give reference number for the census, was anyone else living with him and Elizabeth

Have you followed up the two young children from the 1871 census?  Where are they in 1881? Are they with relatives or in the workhouse, etc?

Looks like the son Edward married in 1879. Does his marriage record indicate if father Michael was deceased by 1879? Where is daughter Emily by 1881? There's an Emily Ellis who died in 1878.

Yes thats him, his son Edwsrd moved to lodge elsewhere not sure about Emily

If that's Michael's death in 1893, you'll need to find him in the 1881 and 1891 census.
