Many thanks Abhanliath, that's very helpful information.  The article you attached is very interesting indeed - although I do think that whole 'blueshirt' movement looks very uncomfortable and alarming in its imagery - extremely disturbing echoes of what was unfolding with the brownshirts in the UK and, of course, everything that was unfolding across Europe at the same time in the early 1930s. Not something you'd ever imagine seeing in Ireland.
