Armoury Gardens, Shrewsbury
« on: Saturday 23 October 21 18:01 BST (UK) »
Hi  :)
I've been on a mission to learn about a family friend (Beatrice Alice Hart) who left England and lived her later years in Australia. I have discovered so many interesting things about her. She went to the Shrewsbury girls highschool. I even have her highschool photo taken 1925 which is awesome. Her mother's midwife record and other records say they lived at Delbury, Armoury Gardens. I can't figure out what number house that would be??? Anyone able to help???
Also I have a few photos of hers and none say who the photos are of. It could be taken anywhere in the world and I have no idea who the people are. Anyone recognise the building???
I hope I get some more clues.
 :)

Have you looked for the family on the 1939 register to establish their address?  Who were her parents?

Doesn’t her actual birth cert give the full address?  You don’t give any details of when or where she was born.

There is no Beatrice A Hart birth in Shropshire

Your post from 2019

Reply one on that post shows she was born in Dartford so how can her mothers midwife record show an address in Shropshire?  Unless you are not referring to the birth & mean her mother was a midwife?  What date are those records?

Re photo.  There is very little of the building and nothing striking so virtually impossible to even guess where it was taken

Did she marry?  When & where?

I haven't been to Venice, but that is what your photo suggests to me.

You could also try Street View and 'walk' around Armoury Gardens:

I used to go to Shrewsbury quite often when I lived in the area.
Shrewsbury is a large town and you will be very lucky if someone on RC knows Armoury Gardens well enough to know which house Delbury is. Also, people change the names of their houses and Delbury might not be know as an address, apart from it being the name of a large Hall. If it's not listed on the Postcode listing, then it's unlikely that the house goes by that name these days.

Have you searched the postcode listing?

You might be lucky and someone picks up this request while browsing.

Add - old electoral registers might  show it.
