Looking for a Birth of Harry WRAY 1939 poss Banbridge area
« on: Thursday 28 October 21 14:10 BST (UK) »
Hi there,

Please be gentle with me as I am new to researching Irish Ancestors  ;D

I am looking for a birth record for Harry Wray born in November 1939. His parents were Harry Wray b 1905 Leicester, England and Laura Maud Florence Kerr b 1908 in Banbridge.  They were married in Ballyroney Presbyterian Church on 10th July 1935 so I am hoping Harry junior would have been born in this area? At some point (possibly after the was as Harry snr was a POW) they moved back to Leicester as they both died there.

Any information would be gratefully received,

Many thanks
Wendy  :-*

Due to the 100 year restriction on online Birth index info you will need to phone GRONI a request a search and certificate tel. 0300 200 7890 https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/articles/ordering-life-event-certificates
For background on research in N.I. see the info on https://www.irish-genealogy-toolkit.com/Northern-Ireland-civil-registration.html and other sections under the genealogy tab.

Do you have the 1901 census entry for Laura Maud's (Florence) parents and older siblings?
Written as Carr - House 20 in Seafin (Tierkelly, Down).

IrishGenealogy https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/civil-search.jsp has the marriage of John Kerr and Agnes CLYDSDALE on 20th November 1896 in Ballyroney Presbyterian Church. A William J Clydsdale and a Maggie Clydsdale were witnesses.
