Hi
I am looking for any info about a mining accident in St Ewe, Cornwall in February 1821. In particular Joseph Dyer who was killed there. He was buried 3 February 1821.
I learned that he died in a mining accident from a note made on his son John's baptism record which was in September 1821.
Many thanks
I had issues trying to find a great uncle. so I just googled his name and the accident at the pit and I got it straight away, I recommend you give that a try as some times you will also get what the accident was as well as the injuries he sustained, which helped me to obtain his death cert as well as the PF's ruling and correction cert which gave me all his injuries. (Word of warning though when you get the certs be prepared for the worst as the injuries can be horrific!!) happy hunting I hope you get the results you are searching for...

Death Certificates were first issued in July 1837 for England, so the St Ewe parish record will be the reference for 1821.
